Earned Trust and Lasting Care
Our Military Veterans
Currently, 246 Brunswick area veterans rest in the Cemetery. They represent the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Many served in WW I, WW II, Korea, or Vietnam. Some were officers and some were enlisted. Some were of high valor and earned Purple Hearts, Bronze Stars, and even a Silver Star. Some gave the ultimate sacrifice. They were your family, friends and neighbors.
Annually on Memorial Day, our Cemetery is honored by the men and women of Brunswick's Steadman-Keenan American Legion Post 96. They come every year and hold a ceremony in the Cemetery that honors our military veterans, past and present, who have served our Country and defended the cause of freedom for us all. With the help of local Boy Scouts, every veteran in the Cemetery always has a personal Flag of the United States placed on their burial space.
